An obvious answer to what humans consider a difficult question.
So Decan shows me this video and then asks me," what do you think of this video, don't you think it's cruel and inhumane?" He thinks he's being clever and thinks that he has asked a question I can't answer. So I give him the best blank facial expression that I can muster and I tell him the following.
" Everything in the universe is being consumed by everything else. It is in the design of the universe so that the universe can continue to regenerate itself. All matter is recycled and the only thing that does not get destroyed and recycled is energy. Humans are the only ones who think that eating another animal is wrong or that eating a plant or vegetable is somehow different or better. Eating another living thing is part of nature, whether that be animal, plant, fungi or bacteria etc."
And then looking straight into his eyes I tell him," Humm you look pretty tasty right now, almost old enough to eat?" Ha ha ha and then for some reason he throws a pillow at me.
Life in this galaxy is the same no matter where you go. Animals feeding on animals, fungi and bacteria feeding on dead animals or decaying plant matter, viruses feeding on animals or bacteria feeding on viruses. Even black holes feed on stars, and yet life goes on and is ever-changing. If I were to eat you, some part of you would still exist within me. When I take a breath of air, I not only take in the air, but also the particulates that are in the air. These particulates consist of everything from dust molecules, to bits and pieces of every living thing that is within that biosphere. And whether we consume another living thing or not we are still all connected. Even the dust from stars circulates within our bodies, and to that extent gives us some form of immortality.
