Another one bites the dust

There are times when no matter what you say, nothing matters. People are so caught up in their own little universe that if a tree or some other lifeforms were to disappear, they would take little note other than to say"I wonder whatever happened to that thing or human ".  We are like the sand on the beach and each grain is no more noticed than the next and it is probably why the creator doesn't take much notice of us now.
We were given notice today that another civilization much like yours has become extinct. We did what we could to help but once again their aristocrats prevented us from saving more than a handful. What hurts more than anything is that we didn't want anything from them and every time a civilization dies I feel a little bit more alone in the universe. I guess that's what it's all about, not feeling alone, not being alone. I mean if we did nothing more than to talk to one another as I'm trying to talk to you now, it would've been something. Like hearing a voice in the wilderness and feeling a little bit less afraid of the dark and of being alone. Why does your religion insists on being alone? What would be wrong with knowing there was life elsewhere in the universe? How would you feel if you were the last, the last of your kind? Some of you have expressed that I am an abomination because I am part human, but isn't it better to have some part of you preserved than to have you completely erased from the universe? Or would your ego feel better if I were dead too?
